We all know that the hardest part, whether it be losing weight or putting on lean muscle, is the time it takes to cook and prepare your meals. I was always a chubby kid going through school and for most of my life. I played competitive sports so I was athletic, but I loved to eat. When I was 18, I weighed myself and I was 250 pounds. It was at this point I was fed up with being overweight and decided it was time to take action. I was constantly embarrassed to take my shirt off in front of anyone, so I never did. I tried all these ridiculous diets and even a 30-day cleanse, none of them worked or lasted. Immediately after I lost 20lbs on a cleanse I gained 35 back. This is what started my obsession with health and fitness.

With hard work and dedication, in a matter of months, I was able to lose another 30 pounds. Since then I have decided to become a personal trainer and get certified in nutrition so I can help people and inspire them to live a healthier lifestyle. I am currently around 185 pounds and have kept all the weight off. I have learned to fuel my body with healthy meals that give you the energy to help you push harder and that have nutritional benefits for your body. This didn’t just help me with my weight but also in my everyday life. I became more confident and tried new things.  I love helping others and want to see people become more confident. I want to not only inspire people but to educate them in making healthier choices when eating.

My passion has always been health and fitness. Rather it be participating in competitive sports or simply working out in the gym, I’ve been on a health and fitness path from day one. Fitness has been and continues to be an outlet for me to relieve stress and work towards bettering myself.

At a young age, I began my fitness journey. Without any knowledge on how to properly fuel my body, I tried many different diets that were not fitting for my athletic lifestyle. It was here that I began to take charge of what foods I was putting in my body and structured my meals to give me the proper balanced nutrients I needed for energy. When I began my studies in university, the demands of school made it hard to prepare healthy meals and stay on top of my health as I did in the past.

Food For Fitness was created to help others who have similar issues. My goal is to help others by providing them with healthy, nutritious and delicious meals that are convenient and easy to enjoy. I am driven by my love for fitness and food.
